GLM G4 electric vehicle concept

Japanese electric vehicle specialist GLM has unveiled its new G4 concept at the Salon Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris.

The car is a reworking of the Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS, a four-seater supercar from the Netherlands, which first appeared in 2011 powered by a V8 petrol engine, but nonetheless, GLM claims that the G4 concept is not an extension of existing internal combustion engine models but ‘what a luxurious vehicle should be’.

GLM says the G4 belongs to the exotic car segment, combining a fluid but robust exterior, four doors and supreme internal comfort allowing 4 passengers to cover distance in style.

Total system output of above 1000Nm and 540PS is claimed, with a twin motor application to split torque depending on driving mode.

GLM claims the G4 can accelerate from 0-100km/h in less than 3.7 sec and cruise at around 155mph.

“GLM has the mission to be at the forefront and push boundaries of EVs.” says Hiroyasu Koma, GLM CEO. “Seeking to develop an EV that not only concretely contributes to a low-carbon society but provides an exciting drive experience to the driver is our vision and daily inspiration. We are here for the thrilling and promising future of the automotive industry.”
